Promoting Economic Diversification

In 2016, Saudi Arabia introduced the "Vision 2030," aiming to promote economic diversification and break free from excessive reliance on oil. The entertainment and tourism industry is a major pillar of this vision.
Saudi Arabia has established a Ministry of Tourism, a Tourism Authority, and a Tourism Development Fund, responsible for policy and regulatory design, tourism promotion, and investment in tourism infrastructure, respectively.
Saudi Arabia plans to invest $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years, aiming to become one of the top ten global tourist destinations by 2030. The country expects to host 100 million tourists annually, creating over a million related job opportunities and increasing the contribution of the tourism industry to the gross domestic product to over 10%.
In recent years, Saudi Arabia has continuously developed tourist attractions and facilities, enriched cultural and entertainment projects, and vigorously carried out promotional activities, gradually forming distinctive tourism resources.
